First off, thank you for choosing Skintricate Tattoo Company as your shop of choice!!
You are about to receive a professional, safe, and sterile tattoo. Here is what you can do to be ready! Please read all points thoroughly, as exceptions will not be made for those unprepared for their appointments.
Recommendations for your actual tattoo appointment:
1/ No excessive drinking the night before.
2/ Make sure to eat and drink before your appointment.
3/ Wear comfortable clothing for long appointments and feel free to bring snacks and non-alcoholic drinks to tide you over!
4/ We strive to provide a comfortable and safe tattooing environment. We generally have music or movies on and plenty of chatter. If you would like to drown out the noise, feel free to bring headphones with you to listen to your own music/movies on your phone!
5/ Please make sure to double, or triple, check the spelling, spacing, placement, sizing, etc. of your stencil before the tattoo begins and be sure to communicate with your artist about anything!
6/ Please download our tattoo aftercare instructions here, and don't hesitate to ask any questions about it when you are here for your tattoo. We offer non-scented soap and lotion for purchase that is specifically geared towards tattoos and much more recommended than store-bought items!
Shop Booking Contract you agreed to in-person/via online booking:
1/ Only one guest is allowed in the tattoo room with you. Please do not arrive with more than one guest.
2/ Children are not allowed upstairs in the tattoo room, and cannot be left unattended downstairs. Please arrange for childcare for your tattoo appointment.
3/ We require 48 hours notice for cancellation and refund of your deposit. No exceptions. Please note: This is not applicable once artwork is prepared.
4/ We require 48 hours notice to reschedule. If we are closed, please leave a voicemail, or send an email to skintricate@gmail.com so that we have a time stamp.
5/ We require 48 hours notice if you want to make any changes to your design, from what was initially discussed, otherwise you may forfeit your deposit. If you have any changes, please email us at skintricate@gmail.com, or call. A little heads up is very helpful. Complete design changes ABSOLUTELY require notice, 48 hours prior to your appointment (or to your drawing date if you have one!), otherwise your deposit will be forfeited to the artists' time spent on your artwork.
6/ Please arrive on time. Arriving over 10 - 15 minutes late could compromise your tattoo appointment and deposit.
7/ All services/products are subject to 13% HST.
8/ Please refrain from heavy drinking the night prior to your tattoo and especially the day of your tattoo.
9/ You must be 18+ without parental consent; photo ID required.
10/ Clients aged 16 and 17 must be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian, valid photo ID is required from both client and parent/legal guardian.
11/ A touch up is included within one year of your tattoo appointment, if needed. Please note, not all tattoos do. We will confirm when we see how it healed.
12/ We reserve the right to charge for a touch up if it is due to clear and obvious negligence during the aftercare process.
13/ If you no show a touch up appointment, you will lose your free touch up option and will have to pay for your touch up if still wanted afterwards. Please just give us a call to reschedule it if needed, thank you!
14/ The moment we begin to prepare artwork and/or a tattoo has been started, the deposit is non-refundable.
15/ Full refunds for deposits are available within 6 months WITH RECEIPT ONLY. Shop credit given without receipt and/or after 6 months, provided none of the above apply. No exceptions will be made AT ALL. Please note: this is for accounting purposes, not because we are trying to be mean.
16/ Please call the shop at 905-858-5055 during our business hours to reschedule, as we are unable to do so via email.
17/ No showing your tattoo appointment directly results in a forfeit of your deposit, and possibly not being welcome to schedule with us again. Please call us to discuss in the case of an emergency.
